Terms of service

Last updated 2 August 2026.

These terms apply to littlebites.nz, operated by Little Bites, 105 Schollum Access Road, Pohuehue, Auckland 0983, New Zealand. By using this site or buying from us, you agree to them.

Health and safety notice — please read

The Starting Solids course and everything else we publish is general educational information. It is not individualised medical, dietetic or health advice, and no practitioner-patient relationship is created by buying or watching it.

Every baby is different. Always consult your own doctor, midwife, Plunket nurse or dietitian about your child's feeding, growth, and any allergies or medical conditions — particularly before introducing allergens, or if your baby was premature, has a medical condition, or has had a reaction to any food.

Never leave a baby unattended while eating. Prepare food in age-appropriate sizes and textures. If you have any concern about choking, allergy or a reaction, seek medical help immediately — in an emergency call 111.

Orders and pricing

Our prices are set in New Zealand dollars. If you're shopping from Australia, prices are shown and charged in Australian dollars, converted from our New Zealand prices at the exchange rate applying at the time of your order — so the Australian amount can vary slightly from day to day. Your bank or card issuer may also apply its own fees. We may change prices, and add or withdraw products, at any time. Occasionally an item is mispriced or unavailable after you order — if that happens we'll contact you and offer a correction or a full refund. Placing an order is an offer to buy; a contract forms when we confirm dispatch or deliver your course access.

Course access and licence

  • Buying the course gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to watch it for your own family's use.
  • Please don't share your login, or copy, download, resell, screen-record or redistribute any part of the course or its PDFs.
  • "Lifetime access" means for as long as we continue to offer the course. If we ever have to retire it, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to keep the material you've paid for.
  • Access is tied to the email address on your order. Tell us if you need it moved — we're happy to help.

App access

The Little Bites iOS app is downloaded from Apple's App Store and your use of it is also subject to Apple's terms. Course purchases include a single-use App Store code. Each code works once, on one Apple Account, and cannot be reused or reissued once redeemed. Codes have an expiry date shown when they're issued — please redeem yours promptly.

Gifts

A gift link works like a voucher: anyone holding the link can claim it, so treat it like cash and only pass it to the person you intend. Gift links don't expire. Once claimed, the course belongs to the email address that claimed it, and the claim can't be undone.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached, such as credentials being shared or content redistributed.

Intellectual property

All course videos, PDFs, text, images and branding on this site belong to Little Bites and Julia Scott, and are protected by copyright. Nothing here transfers ownership of them to you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you're acquiring goods or services for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our liability in connection with any product or the course is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version published here at the time of your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
